We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Billy Quarmby as the Club’s new Chairman. Billy starts his new role with immediate effect, after previously working as the Head of Football Logistics for the last two years.

Starting his career in football at boyhood club Oldham Athletic, Billy plied his trade in various important areas for the Latics, including Retail, Commercial, Media, Ground Developments and as an Analyst, over a ten-year period.

At the time of his appointment, Billy was the youngest Analyst in the EFL under Lee Johnson, who was the manager of Oldham between 2013 and 2015.

Looking to test himself further afield, the 31-year-old started a new job with current League One outfit Wigan Athletic a few years later. His time at the Brick Community Stadium was unfortunately cut short after only a brief period however, as Wigan entered administration.

In 2020, Billy joined Radcliffe before becoming Head of Football Logistics two years later. He’s been a hard-working and friendly face around the Neuven Stadium for the last four years, working side-by-side with Paul Hilton in the majority of his time with the Boro.

We believe Billy is the perfect individual to take control of the Club moving forwards, and we invite everyone to congratulate him on his well-deserved new role. Radcliffe’s media team recently spoke to both Billy and Owner Marcus McCabe about the news.

Quarmby, said: ‘First and foremost, I want to pay tribute to my friend, Paul Hilton. His dedication, vision and love for Radcliffe laid a foundation that will forever be part of this club’s identity. It’s a privilege to step into a role that Paul held with such care and commitment, and I’m incredibly honoured to continue his work.

This club means a lot to me, and I’m excited to build on the progress Paul achieved, working hard to take Radcliffe to new heights. This is a proud moment for me and my family, and I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to lead us forward.

McCabe, said: ‘From my point of view, there’s no better person to take on the role. I know Billy will work incredibly hard to continue the progress we’ve made over the last few years. He’s played a substantial part in helping to develop every aspect of the Club since he became our Head of Football Logistics, his driven mindset, intelligence and camaraderie makes him someone I’m confident can take Radcliffe under their wing moving forwards.’
