Radcliffe will attempt to dust themselves down from Tuesday’s last-minute heartbreak with a trip to Warrington Town up next. The Boro are in search of their fourth win on the road, with the last coming a month ago in mid-February at Buxton.
Over the past decade, the fixture has been rather one-sided. While Radcliffe enjoyed victory at the Cal.Delivery Stadium in September, it was the first since March 2011 as Warrington have taken all three points in eight of the last 10 league meetings between the sides.
The Opposition
Warrington have been guilty of not scoring enough goals across the course of the campaign which has left them in the relegation zone for most of the season. Tomorrow’s hosts have endured 12 draws, the joint most in the division, which includes three 0-0 results as well as five matches ending 1-1.
Since the two teams met in October, the Yellows have only managed to win three of their 26 following matches. The three victories all saw the side keep clean sheets, but only one of them came in 2025, a 2-0 triumph over Rushall Olympic.
Most recently, Warrington fell to a 3-1 defeat against third-placed Chester on Tuesday night. Paul Carden’s men were ahead for 13 minutes after defender Aaron James headed home in the first half. A Tom Peers spot kick tied the match up before two goals in the last 15 minutes of the action saw Chester pull clear.
Ones To Watch
30-year-old striker Josh Amis has averaged a goal every 147 minutes this campaign but unfortunately for Warrington, the forward has only appeared in 21 of the relegation-threatened side’s league matches. Despite having injury issues, he has managed to find the net seven times including once at the Neuven Stadium back in October and twice against Alfreton at the start of March.
Warrington’s young midfielder Mikey O’Neill has impressed throughout the campaign, and will be one to keep an eye out for tomorrow afternoon. The 20-year-old has eight goal contributions across 29 appearances, including a goal and an assist in the last three matches. However, O’Neill has only played 90 minutes on three occasions since the turn of the year, so might be an impact player off the bench.

Last Time Out
12th October 2024 – Radcliffe 1-2 Warrington Town
Radcliffe looked the better side for the opening 70 minutes of the match and took the lead in the 38th minute through Tunde Owolabi, but were reduced to ten men after Jordan Hulme was dismissed moments before half-time.
The Boro got their noses in front seven minutes before the half-time whistle through Owolabi, as the number 30 scored on his second home debut in a Radcliffe shirt. The forward got on the end of Anthony Dudley’s flicked ball, using his strength well whilst being hauled to the ground as he played the pass, and struck his shot low past the onrushing Atherton before celebrating in front of the home faithful.
After an excellent first half from the home side, Radcliffe captain Hulme was shown a straight red card in the 44th minute for an off-the-ball clash with Warrington Town right-back Murphy Bennett, giving Bernard and Jonno’s men a setback to overcome after the restart.
Twenty minutes from time, Paul Carden’s team made their extra man count as second-half substitute Josh Miles tied the game at 1-1. After Amis went to ground inside the area, the loose ball was picked up by the substitute who found the roof of the net with a buried shot from 20 yards out.
Just three minutes after the first substitute scored, the second sub put the visitors ahead. Connor Woods beat Duxbury for pace on the outside and played a ball through the corridor of uncertainty, finding an unmarked Amis as he lurked on the edge of the six-yard area before making no mistake with a poacher’s finish.
