Our 2024 pre-season schedule has been released and we’ve provided a preview of each first-team fixture, as we travel to the likes of Aberystwyth Town, the Isle of Man and Witton Albion, as well as hosting Halifax Town, Oldham Athletic and AFC Fylde in a long-awaited return to the Neuven Stadium.
Game 1 – Aberystwyth Town (A)
Date & kick-off time – 05/07/24 • 7:45pm KO
Address – Park Avenue, Aberystwyth, SY23 1PG
Kickstarting our pre-season fixtures is a trip to welsh outfit Aberystwyth Town, a side situated in the top division of our neighbouring country. It’ll be our first visit to Wales since our 2021 encounter with Caenarfon Town, and this is definitely one to look forward to as we head to the west coast.
Game 2 – Witton Albion (A)
Date & kick-off time – 13/07/24 • 3pm KO
Address – U Lock It Stadium, Chapel Street, Northwich, CW9 6DA
Next up, we recollect with a former promotion-winning manager as Jon Macken lines up against the Boro with his Witton Albion side who finished sixth in the NPL West Division table last season, narrowly missing out on the play-offs by goal difference. We were unsuccessful last time we visited the U Lock It Stadium, so we’ll want to change our record following a 2-1 defeat in 2022.
Game 3 – Lancaster City (IOM)
Date & kick-off time – 20/07/24 • 2pm KO
Address – The Bowl, Pulrose Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM2 1RB
The first of two fixtures taking place in the Isle of Man kicks off at 2pm on Saturday, before playing a day later against the hosts as part of our four-team tournament. Our opponents are Lancaster City, a side Radcliffe did the double over last season on our way to becoming Champions.
Game 4 – FC Isle of Man (A)
Date & kick-off time – 21/07/24 • 3pm KO
Address – The Bowl, Pulrose Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM2 1RB
As previously mentioned, Sunday will see us face off against the hosts of our Summer Festival of Football in the Isle of Man. This one is set to be a blockbuster encounter with a large amount of fans expected, further information regarding tickets and travel packages can be found here.
Game 5 – FC Halifax Town (H)
Date & kick-off time – 23/07/24 • 7:45pm KO
Address – Neuven Stadium, Colshaw Close East, Radcliffe, Manchester, M26 3PE
Returning to the home of the Champions for the first time in four months, Radcliffe will take on National League opposition in the form of Halifax Town, a side who ended the campaign in the play-off places. It’s a return to M26 for Chris Millington’s men, as they were defeated at the Neuven Stadium in our last pre-season campaign, ending in a 2-1 victory for the Boro thanks to goals from Matt Sargent and Luca Navarro.
Game 6 – Oldham Athletic (H)
Date & kick-off time – 27/07/24 • 3pm KO
Address – Neuven Stadium, Colshaw Close East, Radcliffe, Manchester, M26 3PE
Four days later, the Neuven Stadium welcomes a National League outfit once again as Oldham Athletic travel to Radcliffe on the back of a mid-table finish in England’s fifth tier. The likes of Nicky Adams, Lois Maynard and Isaac Modi will line up against their former side in a solid matchup on a Saturday afternoon at the end of July.
Game 7 – Mossley AFC (A)
Date & kick-off time – 30/07/24 • 7:45pm KO
Address – Seel Park, Market St, Mossley, OL5 0ES
Our seventh friendly will see us visit Tameside to line up against NPL West Division side, Mossley. Our last fixture against the Lilywhites was a 2022 Manchester Premier Cup tie, ending 2-2 at the Neuven Stadium before Brad Rose became the star of the night with heroics in a penalty shootout victory. This game will conclude our travels in pre-season, as we return home to complete our preparation four days later.
Game 8 – AFC Fylde (H)
Date & kick-off time – 03/08/24 • 3pm KO

In the final scheduled fixture of our 2024 pre-season campaign, Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s side will welcome AFC Fylde to the Neuven Stadium to test the team for the last time before kicking off our inaugural National League North season a week later. The tough task against a third National League opponent will finish off our friendlies, coming up against a Fylde outfit who escaped relegation by only three points last season.
