The Stadium and Refreshments
Blackwell Meadows has a capacity of 3,281 with 588 seats and plenty of standing areas, which are both covered and uncovered. It originally opened in 1994 and was constructed to host games for Darlington RFC, a grassroots rugby union team, before the ground was then renovated in order to begin hosting matches for Darlington FC in 2016, alongside the rugby union side.
The clubhouse at the ground is open before, during and after the match serving a wide range of food and drinks. There are two other catering outlets inside Blackwell Meadows, one is located next to the Tin Shed end and one is located adjacent to the clubhouse, the latter serving pizza.
Parking
Standard parking at the ground can be purchased on a first-come first-served basis at £5 per vehicle, allowing a few additional minutes when exiting the car park after the match as vehicle and pedestrian flows pass through the same exit point under steward guidance. Both cash and contactless payments are accepted.
Parking in the surrounding areas and neighbouring streets may be available, but we request that you are respectful of local residents and don’t block driveways.
Pitch Inspection
There will be a precautionary pitch inspection taking place at Blackwell Meadows on Friday at 4pm to determine whether the fixture can go ahead as planned, the outcome of this will be shared on the club’s social media platforms shortly after.
We ask that you respect any rules and regulations applied on the day, co-operating with Darlington’s staff accordingly. Thank you in advance, and we hope you enjoy the game!
