Radcliffe FC are pleased to announce the signing of Farsley Celtic midfielder, Danny Greenfield. The 23-year-old arrives at the Neuven Stadium on a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.

A player with a vast amount of National League North experience at a young age, Greenfield started his career in the youth set up at Barnsley, before beginning first-team football with Gateshead in 2019. After three years with the Heed, he began to ply his trade at Brewery Field with Spennymoor Town in the summer of 2022.

Greenfield featured nearly 100 times across two seasons in County Durham, eventually ending his stay in July to join Farsley Celtic. He’s made 17 appearances so far this season, netting on three occasions and providing two assists, and now arrives at M26 to add to the midfield firepower already on offer to Bernard and Jonno.

Our new number 34 spoke to the media team after signing for the Boro.

Greenfield, said: ‘I’m absolutely delighted. I’ve worked under Bernard and Jonno before so as soon as I knew there was interest, it was a no brainer. I’d like to say I’ll bring energy on the pitch and character off it, I’ve played quite a few games at this level now so I’m quite experienced and I hope to bring that to the group. I’m more of an attacking-minded player but I pride myself on my defensive responsibilities as well.

Welcome to the Neuven Stadium, Danny!
