Radcliffe FC are delighted to announce that Matt Sargent, Danny Greenfield, Brad Jackson and George Glendon have all put pen-to-paper to extend their stays at the Neuven Stadium.
Matt Sargent
Matt Sargent has signed a new two-year contract that will see the Welsh midfielder feature for Radcliffe until the end of the 2026/27 season, with the option for a further year.
The 23-year-old arrived in Greater Manchester in the summer of 2023, and has since made 75 appearances in all competitions. Across his two seasons with the Boro, Sargent has been directly involved in 16 goals, with eight goals and eight assists.
None of which are more memorable than his recent last-minute winner against Scunthorpe United, which sparked euphoria amongst the Boro faithful as Radcliffe took an important step towards safety. He has also been named the Radcliffe Radio Player of the Match on five occasions and the player of the month twice, first in March 2024 and again in August 2024.
Danny Greenfield
Danny Greenfield has penned a new two-year contract, seeing the 24-year-old midfielder stay at the Neuven Stadium until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, with the option for a further year.
Since Greenfield joined the club in mid-November, he’s started every league fixture and has only left the pitch before the final whistle on two occasions, in the 88th minute against Curzon Ashton, and in the 81st minute against Alfreton Town.
The Boro’s number 34 has found the back of the net six times in all competitions, including five goals in the National League North. Several of Greenfield’s goals have come at key times, with the winner against Warrington Town and the equaliser in the FA Trophy Second Round tie with Worksop Town, to name a couple.
In his short time at M26, Greenfield has been named player of the month twice, first in December and the second time in March, where he also picked up the goal of the month award for his strike against Warrington Town. He’s become a fan favourite despite only playing for the club since November, and the gaffers have moved quickly to extend his career at Radcliffe.
Brad Jackson
Brad Jackson has put pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract, extending his stay with Radcliffe until the end of the 2025/26 season, with the option for a further year.
Jackson, who has been deployed at full back, wing back and on the wing in his time with the Boro, has made 86 appearances in his two seasons at the Neuven Stadium. A constant feature in the squad, during his 47 appearances in the current campaign the 28-year-old has added three goals and seven assists to his 11 goal contributions from the 2023/24 season.
Initially signing on the back of a successful trial period, he was named Radcliffe Player of the Month in January 2025, the same month he also picked up his third Goal of the Month award. His previous two awards came in the 2023/24 campaign for his goals against Worksop Town in September and Atherton Collieries in February.
George Glendon
George Glendon has signed a new one-year contract that will see the 29-year-old centre midfielder extend his stay with Radcliffe until the end of the 2025/26 season, with the option for a further year.
Son of former Radcliffe player and manager Kevin Glendon, Glendon has featured 20 times in his short time with the Boro after making the switch to the Neuven Stadium in January. Since his debut against Hereford, the former Chester man has only been absent from the matchday squad on one occasion, which was against the Seals following a condition of the transfer that brought him to the club.
With two goals to his name, a clever flick against South Shields and the opener at Farsley Celtic which helped to secure Radcliffe’s safety, he will be looking to continue to be an ever-present player in the centre of the park in the 2025/26 campaign.
