Radcliffe take to the road in the league for just the second time in 2025 as the Boro make the long trip down to Norfolk.

Despite Tuesday’s defeat at the hands of league leaders Chester, the damage was limited as none of the sides in the bottom half of the table managed to pick up more than a point in the midweek fixtures.

Bernard and Jonno will have new signing George Glendon back in contention for this one after his pre-agreed absence from the Chester clash, which will bring added quality to the midfield if he’s to feature.

The Opposition

When we last met King’s Lynn, Adam Lakeland’s side were eighth in the table having won three and lost two of their first five league games. Since then, Saturday’s hosts have been in the play-offs after all but three matchdays, hovering around second and third in the table.

Recent draws with Alfreton Town, Chester, Needham Market and Rushall Olympic, alongside defeats away from home at Scunthorpe United and Peterborough Sports have seen the play-off hopefuls drop to sixth in the table and into a position that could see them fall out of the top seven altogether if Buxton and Chorley win their games in hand.

Overall, the Norfolk side are in relatively decent form. Just two defeats in their last 12 matches has seen the Linnets add to their points tally with six wins and four draws in a run that began in mid-November.

King’s Lynn have also picked up almost maximum points at home when they take a lead in a game. Out of nine matches at The Walks Stadium in which they’ve taken the lead, they have gone on to win eight times.

Ones To Watch

Experienced defender Greg Taylor has been ever present for King’s Lynn this season. The 35-year-old centre back has played almost all the available league minutes, only being subbed off early on three occasions. Despite being deployed in the back line, the former Cambridge United man has chipped in with two goals and two assists this campaign.

Josh Hmami joined up with Adam Lakeland’s squad at the beginning of the campaign after three seasons with Southport. The 25-year-old has found himself deployed up top, in central midfield and also on the wing on some occasions. Hmami has started every match he’s been available for this season, whilst recording three goals and providing seven assists so far this campaign.

Last Time Out

Radcliffe slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat when the two sides met in late August.

Jonny Margetts found the back of the net twice, either side of halftime, with Brad Roscoe’s goal only proving to be a constellation goal, although it did see the teams enter level at the break.

Callum Rowe’s debut was the only thing of note from a Radcliffe perspective, as the Boro failed to test Paul Jones in the Linnets goal. A chance in the 97th minute did fall to Scott Duxbury, but the second half substitute was unable to keep his headed effort on target.
