Radcliffe FC are delighted to announce the signing of winger Michael Afuye, who joins on a one-year deal with an option at the Neuven Stadium.

Our new number 10 becomes the Boro’s second signing in as many days after yesterday’s announcement of Jon Taylor, showing Radcliffe’s intent with two acquisitions less than a fortnight after our 2024/25 campaign came to an end.

The 24-year-old spent last season with Curzon Ashton, who were fighting for promotion at the top end of the table, and racked up just shy of 15 goal contributions during his year with the Nash after initially joining last summer.

Known for his pace, footwork and determination from wide areas, Afuye has also featured for Avro, Rochdale and Guiseley so far during his career, and has been heavily praised for his ability to take fans off their seats with his exciting talent.

Our new addition was full of positivity in his first interview with the club.

Afuye, said: ‘I’m delighted to join Radcliffe, it was an easy decision to make and I’m more than eager to get going. Last season was tough for me but I felt like I learnt a lot and I feel that the experience I gained will be invaluable towards chasing our goals for the campaign.

The gaffers have been great with me ever since I properly met them, they’ve made me feel really welcome and the environment that they’re already showing and creating around this club is great and I want to be a part of it.

Welcome to the Neuven Stadium, Michael!
