Radcliffe FC are pleased to announce the signing of Fylde midfielder Tom Walker, who pens a one-year deal with an option at the Neuven Stadium.

The 28-year-old joins the Boro following his departure from National League outfit Fylde, where he played for two years across both the National League and the National League North, becoming a Champion of the latter in 2023.

Counting Stockport County, Harrogate Town and Notts County amongst his former clubs, Walker started his first-team football with Bolton Wanderers, gaining valuable experience at a young age in both the Championship and League One which went on to stand him in good stead in the early stages of his career.

One of his most notable moves would come three years after his professional debut, when the Salford-born player joined the Ammies in 2018 under the management of Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley.

Walker played over 60 games for the Greater Manchester side, reaching the double-figure goal milestone whilst also winning the National League play-off final at Wembley, before joining Fylde for his first stint at the club and scoring in 44% of his games.

Since then, he’s featured for Harrogate Town, Altrincham and Buxton, as well as returning to Stockport County in loan and permanent spells, he now joins the NPL Premier Division Champions to reconcile with a number of familiar faces who are currently at the club.

Walker is best described as a wide midfielder with key attacking attributes, an exciting player on the ball who will be looking to find the back of the net in our inaugural National League North season.

Tom spoke to the media after penning his contract, explaining how happy he was to have signed, what he’s looking forward to and his aims and aspirations for the upcoming campaign.

Walker, said: ‘I’m really happy to have signed for Radcliffe, it’s a club on the rise and it’s got the ambitions that match mine which is to keep on climbing and progressing through the football pyramid.

I’m really excited to work with the gaffers again having previously played for them at Salford, I enjoyed my time under them and can’t wait to do the same again now at Radcliffe.

For me personally, I’m hoping I can get back to playing my best football and enjoying it again, bringing goals and assists to the team. I’m confident I will at Radcliffe as it’s a fresh start for me and one I’m looking forward to. I can’t wait to work with my new teammates and aim for another promotion!

Welcome to the Neuven Stadium, Tom!
